However, the anxieties have no real basis as one reads her works and feels the emotion and sensitivity that she brings to her writing. Speaking from personal experience and now passing on the lessons learned from that experience, her young readers, as well as her own children, can learn how to deal with cultural injustice in the society in which they live.
