Richard Szpin has been awarded the
Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee Award
for his years of work as a community activist in Pickering.
Richard has been actively involved in promoting and volunteering with many aspects of Pickering: city activity committees, Pickering Library, book clubs, writer associations, computer instruction for seniors, working with Aging Well Together activities, election campaign information and promotion, publication of newsletter and website for older adults+.
He continues to be actively involved in the promotion and advancement of Pickering.
