In Canada, Passover is observed by many Jewish families who follow traditional rituals such as eating specific foods like matzah (unleavened bread) and participating in a Seder meal.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some families may be modifying their celebrations to comply with public health guidelines and social distancing measures. Nonetheless, Passover remains an important time for reflection and connection with family and community for Canadian Jews.
And we who observe other religious traditions, wish all of our Jewish friends good health and a Happy Passover with their families in this very important time.
