My favourite authors are BALDACCI, GRISHAM, COOK, and DONNA LEON.
Donna LEON is a very special because her detective series with Inspector Brunetti is set in her residential city, Venice. Each book in the detective series is a little bit of a Venetian travelogue weaving tourist views of the city into the story. The glimpses of the city and the snippets describing his wife’s cooking make her books feel as comfortable as an old pair of slippers. If you have visited Venice, her city blurbs will tug at your nostalgia strings with memories of the phenomenal city.
When I joined the BOOK CLUB in 2014, I felt like a weed in a garden of beautiful flowers as I was the only man in the group. The weeds have grown. Now there are two!
