BORROWING BOOK CLUB SETS

PPL BORROWING PROCEDURES
GAL BOOK CLUB Moderators will find the PPL book club sets borrowing procedure easy to manage.

VITAL LINKS
The crucial link for borrowing a book set is found at BOOK CLUB SETS

The link to the PPL BOOK CLUB SETS will look similar to below:

Click the appropriate GO button to begin the borrowing procedure. The screen changes automatically in relation to the selected GO.

MODERATORS SHOULD NOTE
Moderators should allow some extra time between delivery date and distribution date where book club members receive the book a month prior to their meeting. Normally, the delivery date is no issue as the moderator collects all the books at one time and distributes them at the next meeting. Be sure RETURN DATE has appropriate reading time considered.

MODERATORS RESPONSIBILITIES
Each moderator is responsible for selecting, ordering (reserving) and ensuring that their selected copies are available for distribution one month prior to the month of their moderating meeting.

Additionally, the moderators are responsible for collecting and returning all copies of the book club set to the library after their moderation. The library will hold the moderator liable for any penalties or late charges which may be incurred should all copies not be returned.

TITLE SELECTION
Moderators can choose any title from the available book club sets, regardless if the title has been read by some of the members.

MODERATING PROCEDURES
Moderators are free to organize and chair their moderating session as they see appropriate. They can use whatever sources they deem as appropriate for useful information, discussion questions and material relating to their session and they can use, provide any props and/or snacks that will enhance their presentation.

NEED MORE HELP
Need more help, ask other club members who have moderated before for advice or assistance. We have a membership that is very personal and very willing to help you.
