ROAD TRIP and season’s best to all

Bruno wishes…

but this year will be different.

ROAD TRIP!!!

As you are reading this, my wife Darlene and I are south in the warmer climates (we hope) for a “Road Trip” vacation. I know many “Snowbirds” will also be south for the winter, but we are only going for two weeks.

For the last few years we have been making “Road Trips” into the USA with varying themes and adventures mostly in the summer months.

The first year was a “Foodie” trip. With stops in Philadelphia for an authentic Philly Cheese Steak; Hingham (south of Boston for a Walberger burger; Hoboken, NJ for samples of Cake Boss Buddy Valastro’s’ famous pastries; a stop along the Atlantic coast for a lobster dinner; Bar Harbor, Maine for chocolate truffles; over to Vermont to Tom & Jerry’s Ice cream factory for some great flavours; and finally near Lake Placid to enjoy fabulous food at the Tail O’ the Pup outdoor picnic style restaurant.

This time we wanted to get away during some of the winter season. Instead of Snow, we want to “Let it GO, let it GO, let it GO”.  Darlene has made up such a great itinerary I can’t even remember half of it, but Memphis, New Orleans and Biloxi comes to mind. New Year’s Eve with 10,000 beach balls.

  Hooray 2017 !

Do you make resolutions you know you probably won’t be able to keep? Most resolutions usually have to do with your health. Your family has been on your case, your doctor would also like to see some improvement.

Funny thing about all this is that YOU are the only one that can make any of this happen. You have to be the one to want to make this happen! Nothing anyone says can make you follow your resolution, unless YOU really want it.

I quit smoking “cold turkey” about 18 years ago. I was only able to do this because I had wanted to give it up. I enjoyed the art of smoking, I just didn’t enjoy the taste and smell of the cigarettes anymore. Of course like with anything, you have to make a plan, a schedule, a goal and stick to it. That is the hard part. But over time, and shorter than you think, your goal becomes possible to accomplish.

Enjoy the New Year with all its new challenges, new endeavors and new experiences.

Have a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.

Bruno
