FACEBOOK: here’s an example of why I don’t use this social media

I avoid many social media but I avoid FACEBOOK especially.

I avoid using FACEBOOK for a few reasons. First, it seems to be a tool for gossip more than anything else. People write about what they did last night, what TV they watched, what they had for dinner and even worse, they post photos of these mundane things.

I’m not interested in your dinner, or your activities.  Others may be, and more power to you and to them but count me out.

More importantly, corporations view FACEBOOK as an important conduit for connecting with potential customers. Therefore, they post to it regularly. The only problem is that some corporations are careless in their connectivity with FACEBOOK.
