Remember “Neighbourhood Associations” of the past. Some are still ongoing. These associations were residents of a neighborhood joining together to help each other, with house watching, assistance with home maintenance, or just simple socialization.
Residents in some Pickering communities have tried resurrecting the concept which has lapsed in many areas of the city. Below is a list of the associations attempting a revival. The list below is not definitive and is intended to assist people who live in those areas where the attempts have been made.
The Rougemount Community and Recreation Association are still in the development stages to be launched in late spring.
