It was an absolutely fantastic show. Hundreds of pets, dogs, dragons, cats, hamsters and Fermo too. Mother Nature gave us a perfect day, the vendors set up early and the Esplanade was ready. And they came, hundreds, maybe even more than a thousand. For sure, over the whole day, more than a thousand pets and their owners.
City of Pickering Animal Shelter manager, Lyndsey Narrway deserves kudos and kompliments for this beyond excellent edition of PETAPOLOOZA. It may have been the biggest, the baddest, the best. Outstanding.
Every aspect of the production was done to the level of excellence. The vendor parade was superbly managed with their booths aligned along the central hub of activity. Hundreds of people came with their pets, Nadia with Fermo, Mara with her dragon…and hundreds more.
Hot dogs, ice cream, candy floss, potato fritters, freshly squeezed lemonade and bottled water…foodies were happy and the pets got snackies all day long. The stage held amateur acts of fun and laughter with pets joining up in the presentations. The dog chase-the-decory was the hit of the show for many who had seen it before and remembered it is a spectacular example of dog agility, speed and enthusiasm
The City Councillors were there….Councillor Brenner with his big lug of a hound, Councillor Nagy with her dragon on her shoulder. Everybody was there, well, it felt like that.
This may have been Animal shelter manager Lyndsey Narrway’s best effort ever. It was a spectacular presentation on an outstanding
