Pickering is gearing up for its annual Canada Day celebration, with festivities planned throughout the day and night.
The daytime event on July 1 will take place at Esplanade Park from noon to 5 p.m. and the fun will continue at Kinsmen Park from 7 to 10 p.m.

- The daytime celebration on Canada Day will include exciting activities, live entertainment and delicious food vendors.
- The nighttime event will feature live music on the big stage, food trucks, fireworks and lots of fun for all ages.
- The main stage performances kick off at 7 p.m. and don’t stop until the firework finale at 10 p.m.
- Performers include Tex Rexman, Echo and Kelsi Mayne.
- Be sure to get to Kinsmen before 8 p.m. for an early-bird raffle at the Pickering Events tent on the lawn.
- Accessible bus shuttles to Kinsmen Park will leave from Pickering GO Station and Ontario Power Generation parking lots (777 Brock Rd. with overflow at 889 Brock Rd.) beginning at 6 p.m. and return shuttles resume shortly after the firework show.

Free family evening main stage concert with food trucks will be hosted in Kinsmen Park to celebrate Canada’s Birthday. Performances begin at 7:00 pm with headliner, Kelsi Mayne performing country followed by a pyro-musical firework show.

Beachfront Park Opening
Residents are invited to celebrate the opening of the newly enhanced waterfront area at Beachfront Park. The event will include light refreshments, interactive activities along the new pathway, and a live performance in Millennium Square. The improvements include the construction of an elevated walkway and cycling route, viewing platforms overlooking Hydro Marsh, barrier-free access to the beach, upgraded lighting and site furniture, and enhanced shoreline protection from the water play area to the west side of Millennium Square. A gravel parking lot was also added in Alex Robertson Park.
