When I go all on to the Internet, I am all over the map, in minutes. Some sites I are get categorized as “forget about it” easily; others, I think, “Hmm, I might want to revisit this one and expore it some more.” In comes SPEED DIAL 2 an Internet site marking tool. SD2 helps you organize, manage and navigate Internet websites which you have marked as worth keeping or revisiting again. Bonuses: it’s free, it’s super easy to use, and it’s easy to put on your computer.
How to get and install SPEED DIAL 2
[This information applies to GOOGLE CHROME users.]
- Go to the website, “Google extensions” – EXTENSIONS
- Enter ‘Speed Dial 2’ into the search box at the top of the page;
- Click “Speed Dial 2 New Tab” in the displayed list;
- Click on the “Install to Chrome” button, likely blue and at the top;
- The extension will appear as a lightening bolt at the top of your google browser page,
- Click the lightening bolt, to open SD2;
- SD2 opens to its HOME page where you add your group names for your websites, then add your websites into the chosen group.
This is just an introductory explanation to get you started in SD2. Watch the video and experiment. Once you learn the basic operations in SD2, you will use it almost exclusively to manage your Internet exploration. It is very easy to learn and very easy to use. It will become your ‘go-to’ Internet tool…I promise.
