Be skeptical about everything now days.
AI has so invaded our world today, you cannot believe much of what you see and here. AI can do many things, visually and aurally, and do them so well, one can easily believe it is valid and authentic information. It is not.
AI today can create images that were imagination a short time ago. Today, the images look like the real thing, recorded by a camera. If it looks real, it must be real. No way.
AI can create fakes so realistic, one would be very hard pressed to believe it is falsehood. AI is excellent at creating images that a short time ago could only exist in the imaginary world but today they can be created by AI as if they really exist.
Images are not the only thing AI can create. A recorded voice can be submitted to AI for dubbing into altogether fake dialogue. AI can have a person say something that would they would never say in real life but AI will and it will make the voice indistinguisable from the real voice.
All this simply means, “Doubt everything you see and hear today” because everything visual or aural can be created by AI, created so will that the fake cannot be distinguished from the authentic.
Validate everything
One should validate everything that they want to believe or believe is real but have some misgivings about it. Find another source, or two, to corraborate what is viewed or heard on line. If it seems doubtful it likely is fake. If it seems too good to be true, it likely isn’t true.
The time has come that everything one sees or hears must be taken with a grain of salt. If it’s on the Internet, it can easily be fake. If it’s on broadcast news, be skeptical as every video broadcast can be fake.
