Some candidates make you wonder. They’ve registered, put up their money and entered the race but why?
Everyone has the right to enter a campaign race. It’s a free country with political rights guaranteed for everyone. So every candidate is allowed to run, put their money up, enter their nomination information and register as candidates. No problem there at all. May they all have the success they deserve.
However, no candidate should enter the election race and fail to submit complete information for public scrutiny and access: Full name, phone number, email contact, web site.
Not submitting all the appropriate information implies some problem with the candidacy or the candidate. Ineptness? Lack of professionalism? Irresponsibility? Carelessness? Illiteracy? Lack of care? The candidate making such a submission deserves less consideration than candidates who submit complete information. It is likely a question of conscientiousness.
Maybe these candidates deserve no consideration. Afterall, if they can’t, won’t or don’t submit complete information in running for office, what kind of job would they do if they were in it? There may be justifiable reasons why a candidate’s information is incomplete but they decided to run for office. They must realize the onus and responsibility such a commitment entails.
A list of candidates who are missing publically accessible information about their candidacy:
Kanageswaran, Sinthuja
Mujeeb, Azmat
Rasool, Bushra
Rasool, Zargham
Zabahir, Mohammed
Conclude what you will, but these candidates are missing important information from their candidacy. A job unsatisfactorily done…what kind of office holder would they be ?
