Ward 1 may arguably be the most dynamic and exciting campaigning constituency of all. Seven candidates, 5 of whom are very strong campaigners with excellent name familiarity.
James Blair, second in the 2022 Elections, may find he has very strong competitors this campaign, most notably: Michael Samlalsingh and Priya Vadivel. The former has professional credentials in accountancy, a strong need for council while Vadivel is the most energetic and strongest campaigner of the group, knocking on the 13,000 residents’ doors for a second cycle. She also has business credentials which put her in the forefront of serious consideration.
Voting outcome, Blair by a very slim number, followed by Vadivel and Samlalsingh.
