V-Day has arrived, the campaigning is done. It’s in the hands of the voters now. BRAVOs and KUDOs are all that’s left.
ALL CANDIDATES
KUDO’s and BRAVO’s sound small and insignificant. Each of you deserves much more for the courage, effort and energy you have given to this campaign. We, the voters, owe you thanks and appreciation for your work, your initiative and your commitment to being a candidate. Running in this campaign, took courage and tremendous strength of character. The competing candidates were outstanding. They too were dedicated. They too were committed and above all, they too were tireless in their efforts to “grab the brass ring.”
Unfortunately, the brass ring is limited and the voters decide who gets it. The remainder are left to their disappointment and depression.
It’ s tough to lose. But none, not one single one of you should hang your head in any way. You fought hard. You worked hard, You committed a lot of energy to what many would say was a losing campaign. Well, none of us voters see it as a ‘losing campaign.’ To all of us, you are winners, every one of you.
Every one of you won! You won our respect. You won our appreciation and, you won our sincerest thanks for running. Running campaigns that were respectful, dignified, clean and considerate. There were no denigrations, no sexism, no racism, no xenophic slurs. It was a campaign filled with respect and courteousy. It was a campaign that saw candidates compete with each other with well-mannered professionalism. Enough can’t be said about how great each of you is and was in this campaign.
Bravo to all of you candidates!
And to all you campaign workers…we are certain we are speaking on behalf of your candidate…THANK YOU !!!
“Thank you” doesn’t come close to expressing the appreciation and gratitude we have for each of you. Every candidate’s campaign was firmly rooted in you. You did the hardest stuff, the literature distribution, the sign planting, the visibility of support when that was needed at presentations. The candidates could never have dreamed of the success they have had without you. You were the stalwarts of the campaign.
We voters would not have learned as much as we did without your work on the campaign. The candidates would never had their names, their platforms and promises known by the voters without your work. Without you, the campaign engagement would never have had the success each has achieved. You really are the backbone of every candidate’s campaign. You are the backbone of every campaign engagement, the soldiers.
