Richard says
Tess Gerritsen writes crime novels and she does so really well. She engages the reader quickly and entertains them with polished prose. After a while, you can see the formula she uses repeatedly in her style of writing, but it works. It’s entertaining and light keeping you engaged almost the whole time you are reading her book.

Gerritsen’s style is predictable but like a comfortable shoe, it is comfortable reading that entertains, excites, surprises and engages any reader. She is simply an nice comfortable writer which may damning her with faint praise but, the short of what i am saying is that she never disappoints you. You expect a good story, with some suspenseful twists and a well developed plot…you get that with all of Gerritsen’s books.

Presumed Guilty is what Gerritsen labels as a romantic thriller meaning there is some romance in the story but it is still a murder story, well written and enjoyable.
