Boil your eggs properly

You’re boiling your eggs incorrectly if they have a grey ring around the yolk.
Eggs should never be cooked in a pot at a rolling boil.

  1. Starting slowly with a pot of cold water.
  2. Submerge your eggs and on medium heat bring the water to a soft boil.
  3. Cover the pot and remove from the heat, allowing the eggs to remain in the hot water bath for 12 minutes.
  4. At 12 minutes, place the eggs in the ice bath to stop the cooking process.
