The beginnings
Years ago, when I was a teacher, a group of really dedicated kids helped me compile the school’s yearbook year after year. This passionate group of kids instilled in me a love of publishing, which ultimately led to my publishing as a hobby in retirement…hence my web page with all its posts.
My website over the years needs a roadmap
Over the years, my website grew, and I learned. I am completely self-taught with regard to anything on my website. It has been very frustrating, a hair-pulling endeavour, but I have worked things out and here I am more than eight years later, an ongoing website with over 8,000 posts. This is why site visitors need a road map or guide to navigating my website because it has so much in it.
Navigate well to maximize your visits
To get the most from my site, use just three tools: BANNERS, SEARCH BOXES, WIDGETS.
- BANNERS
Click one of the two banners below the DATE on the front page of www.szpin.ca to access
1. MY MONTHLY NEWSLETTER –
2. Information about my website[When my site was first created, I named it “BOOKz, COOKz, NOOKz” as those were my primary areas of interest and the logo I created was
to symbolize SAILS, exploring the Internet world. Over the years, my interests varied, the times changed, the world changed, many times in many, many, ways and my site reflected some of those other changes. Hence, look in the CATEGORY search box to see the many categories in which I have written. Click a category to access what I have posted there.]
Useful tools FOUND ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FRONT PAGE:
- SEARCH BOXES
Two search boxes are available where you can search By TOPIC or By CATEGORY. - WIDGETS
Widgets are the other useful tool for navigating the site.
To use a widget, click on a titled illustration in the right column of the site. You will access that particular category, important enough in my view to get its own illustration and clickable access. Try one or two. - BLACK MENU BAR
Under the header banner, there is a black MENU BAR with some of what I feel are the most important areas of my site. Click on the title in the Menu Bar to access that area with a display of its related posts.
