Where are these ALERT WARNINGS issued by the City of Pickering being sounded? Once again I received notification that the ALERT WARNINGS would be sounded in the City. They didnt say Pickering for no alarms were heard again. This is maybe the tenth time this has occurred and I have hearing aids now!
The routine test of Alert Ready’s emergency alerting system, originally scheduled for May 6, has been rescheduled to Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 1:55 pm.
The test message will be distributed over TV, radio, and compatible wireless devices.
Alert Ready is Canada’s emergency alerting system, and delivers critical and potentially life-saving alerts to Canadians. Testing provides an opportunity to raise awareness about the system, and validate it works as intended in case of emergency.
