Responsible growth requires responsible planning!

I live in the Glenanna and Dixie Road neighbourhood and travel along Glenanna Road frequently. I understand firsthand the traffic pressures residents already experience and why the potential impact of this proposal matters to our community.

As a Ward 2 resident and candidate for City Councillor, I have formally submitted my concerns to the City regarding the proposed development at Liverpool Road and Glenanna Road. I support creating more housing in Pickering, but this application proposes a density 7.6 times greater than what is currently permitted, and almost twice the maximum allowed under a High Density designation. Below is my submission explaining why I am opposed to the proposal in its current form and am asking the City, to carefully consider its potential impact on our community.

Ward 2 residents deserve meaningful consultation, clear answers and development that respects our infrastructure, neighbourhoods and quality of life.
