These two world leaders are ‘out of their minds’ with ego and pride. Both see themselves as limitlessly powered, leaders who can do whatever they want.
Putin can do whatever he wants domestically as he is a militarized dictator that controls Russia’s citizenry. He likely believes he had the omnipotence in the world, the war in Ukraine notwithstanding. This madman could very well take it to the next level and launch nuclear missiles but not likely unless he has one too many vodkas. We would like to think he is still capable of logical thinking and reasoning and would see nuclear aggression would lead to world disaster, the final outcome could be a toss up.
The other assh*** may not have the official dictatorial powers of the first, but he keeps pushing the envelope to the next line to test what he can get away with. Greenland could be another one of these trial balloons to see how NATO and the world respond. He likely has been advised not to go further in this direction, but with his dream of being the dictator of AmeriKa, he keeps redrawing the line. I fear he may think he can do whatever he wants there, OR he thinks, “Lets try it to see what the world does about it.”
In both instances, the world is in the ‘crapper.’
