Julia has authored a fascinating book, MOTHERLAND, about the women in Russia and their history. Russian women have been at the forefront of the feminist movement, from being among the very first women in the modern democracies to receive the vote, to being the deadliest soldiers, snipers, in the Russian armed forces. Her book is a very dynamic read.
