The City of Pickering keeps touting…”Residents can get city news and information by accessing the City’s website. Is this some kind of joke?
It is ELECTIONS time, so that’s a bump in the information dissemination highway. Seems like information dissemination during the campaign is on hold. So you will not find anything updated on the City’s website if it is political. Want to know political townhall information? Don’t go to the City’s website! Better luck with a phone call to City Hall: 905.683.7575
The City likely has a department devoted to the design, development and maintenance of the City website. Who that department is, no one knows. Phone City Hall and they’ll give their database a futile spin and hit no specific target.
What’s worse about all this is that it’s ELECTION CAMPAIGN time and that means everything is put on hold. “
Or has more severe critics of the City would say, “Nothing is gets done !” Anyway, if you’re looking for updated information from the City Hall, go to the city’s website at pickering.ca and cross your fingers…good luck!
