Learning about Ward 2
My campaign has been focused on getting out into the community, listening to Ward 2 residents, learning more about the issues affecting Pickering, and having conversations with local businesses and community leaders.
What I attended
I’ve attended local meetings, town halls and information sessions, including discussions surrounding Pickering Nuclear and healthcare, and have been spending considerable time researching the issues residents are raising, from growth and development to affordability, transportation, public safety and municipal accountability.
Listening, hearing and learning
The latest work has really been about listening and learning. I want my campaign to be grounded in what residents are actually experiencing before making unrealistic and unattainable goals.
Need for transparency and accountability
My core priorities remain responsible growth, infrastructure that keeps pace with development, affordability, public safety, protecting Pickering’s community character, and making City Hall more transparent and accountable.
Looking for more
I’m looking forward to continuing those conversations throughout the campaign and hearing from more residents, workers, businesses and community organizations.
