Councillors
The list includes: Stacey Lepine-Fisher, John Meloche, Mara Nagy (incumbent), Sam Snyders and Vince Viapiana. No clear leader is polled anywhere. However, some comments can be made. Given incumbent Mara Nagy’s lackadaisical campaign, she is very likely swimming in troubling waters. John Meloche has launched the strongest and most informative campaign and could therefore be leading the 5 person campaigning pack. However, some voters may find his campaign’s technologically sophistication too much and reject it. Others will find his campaign is comprehensive and informative. Of the remaing candidates, Stacey Lepine-Fisher seems to most active and likely is a very strong consideration for the councillor brass ring. The other campaigners, dedicated and determined will not likely make a noticeable impact. The two candidates worth very serious consideration and who should not be a coin toss are Stacey Lepine-Fisher and John Meloche. Fisher, authentic and credible as a councillor; Meloche, professional, comprehensive in platform and engagingly strong as councillor material. A very tough call.
Councillor REGIONAL
Though she is the regional incumbent, Linda Cook has run a soft, laid-back campaign which could be surprised by Nancy Van Rooy whose campaign is clearly determined and strong. She has knocked on doors, making her name known throughout the Ward. Cook likely is on the inside track because of her incumbency. However, Van Rooy should not be disregarded: strong campaigning, concrete grasp of the issues, notable professional career. Van Rooy has the presence of councillorship. She deserves serious consideration though the finally outcome will be Cook.
